Loose Ends

I managed to get some of the work done for my dad yesterday. Just reformatting the HTML for the Kindle was a pain (it took about three hours' worth of fiddling). So now I have the CreateSpace stuff to do.

I'm looking forward to it so much.

I finished with that and got myself up to the Dome around 5:00pm. They had a couple of little things to do, but nothing major.

Then dinner, and the usual chit-chat.

I headed homeward around 10:00pm, only to get a text message from kshandra, asking if I was interested in Bootie.

I'd been trying to be a good girl, I was.

Turned out she mostly just needed to escape, so I picked her up and introduced her to Ku Day Ta just before it closed. I was gratified to discover that the pun is intentional - their slogan is "Join the revolution!"

That only took half an hour or so, so I drove around kinda randomly before we settled on the Cardinal, where she had dinner, and I had dessert.

I dropped her off at home, and came back to the Duplex, where I did a whole bunch of nothing much, which continues today. I was going to do some laundry this afternoon, but it's raining again.

Mostly, the whole finances thing is getting me down. I'm not expecting a huge amount of income tonight or tomorrow. given how hard it is to find the landlord, the rent isn't likely to get paid today (and goes up by $100 tomorrow).

And the Tuesday show has been canceled again this week.

On the positive side, Kiri gave me a whole bunch of tea she didn't like, which turns out to be quite tasty.
