I got to sleep around 8:30am or so on Saturday, and woke back up at about 2:00pm, which kinda precluded the whole "volunteer for No on 8 at noon" bit.
My main accomplishment for the afternoon was ordering more discs. Five more, though nothing all that exciting. I just got in on the tail end of a closeout sale.
I supposedly have other stuff on the way, but I have no idea when it's going to get here. One's a used disc from Doo-Wop, which has gotten remarkably flaky since they had a fire at their shop (I feel sad for them, but taking a week to tell me a disc isn't available, another week to tell me the replacement isn't available, shipping me the wrong disc, then taking another week to ship me the right one doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside). Another two are (supposedly) coming from Australia, except they haven't gotten around to telling me if they shipped them or not. Given transit times, I'm not gonna bug them about it until the 27th.
I got myself up, dressed, and to Veronica's place only half an hour late, for her little soirée with sparkle_journal, jackal_logic, genuine_snark, Joyce, and Monish. A fairly low-key get-together, with many, many bad puns. I'm afraid that Geo outclasses me.
Well, given the subject, perhaps "underclasses" would be a better term.
I got home from there around 12:30am, and, um...
Apparently didn't do too much that was memorable. Except sleep, which is kind of inherently unmemorable.
I woke back up around 8:00am, and finally got around to starting the process of transferring the bar URL from Network Solutions over to Dreamhost. Apparently a little late - they claim it can take upwards of 7-10 days (why is a damn good question), and the Network Solutions hosting dies on the 23rd.
So there may be some irregularities in the next week or so.
In the meantime, I think I'll get some more sleep. That afternoon show always happens a lot sooner than I expect.
