And I stopped at the end of the 10th rotation at 1:00am, because the only singers left were myself and timenchanter.
On the other hand, I got the privilege of eating a slice of cekyr0 and jeffercine's year-old wedding cake, which was still pretty good - and even better because it was their anniversary, and they were there. And now legally married! Woo!
And a second night of candiddani, who put together some rather interesting suicide songs for me. Actually, between her, snafflekid, and I believe trivialt, I have four sheets of songs to go through.
I've only done Lisa's so far. Mostly some really cool stuff. Though I'd never heard Da Butt before, and probably don't ever want to again - but Lisa had a lot of fun singing along with it, so it's all good.
I was being fairly off-the-wall with song selections, and got a lot of rejections, mostly because people had never heard of the song. But it all worked out, and we all had a fair amount of fun.
Though I still feel guilty about giving Kendall I've Seen All Good People. That was cruel and unusual. But he knew it!
We made about as much as we have been lately on Mondays, so with the decent Sunday, that means the weekend was only 20% below target. I so need to find a paying gig.
I unwound with an Asian Chicken Salad at Carrows (No Mandarin orange slices, but they do have crunchy wonton bits), then came home and slept.
I woke up around 11:00am, and started working on the damn Db display project. I'm actually a good part of the way through debug, and will have this thing working by tomorrow morning. As soon as I think it's semi-stable, I'll start printing books - so hopefully I'll have mostly new books by the Thursday show with princesskiti22.
I then fell asleep again, and woke up later than I should - especially since I wanted to grab some stuff at Fry's for the tip jar project. I did that anyway, picked up ginger_ruetabby half an hour late, then had a pleasant, low-key dinner at Zeni.
Low-key, but huge. I'm busy fighting the food coma right now...
