Life Goes

The big event last night was, of course, dinner at Eulipia with princesskiti22.

I hadn't been there in decades. The food was as good as I'd remembered, however. We kinda gorged ourselves, and then ordered dessert...

I'd been a bit worried about not making reservations, but as it turned out, there were at most three tables occupied the whole time we were there. Our waiter was a bit glum about that. But also entertaining. I ordered some Bleh™. He didn't flinch when I asked if they had Campari, but I think he gagged slightly when I asked for it with tonic.

I wasn't at my most sparkling in terms of conversation, but that varies.

We took a walk through downtown afterwards, to try to handle the volume of food (it didn't work), and because it was a positively gorgeous evening.

And that was that. I'm not even too positive what I spent the rest of the evening doing, after I got Keri back to her car.

Nothing amazingly productive (big surprise there). I did a lot of dozing in my chair, and went to bed relatively early - at around 1:30am, I believe. I woke up this morning around 8:30am, and have mostly just caught up on the 'net, and grabbed some McD's breakfast.

I had some guy email me about doing a party this Saturday, but I doubt it'll pan out. Whatever - at least I've now had two nibbles. Any Craigslist escort'll tell you that you need to make it through a lot of dead leads before building a regular clientèle.

Now I just need to get back to Sennheiser, and order my parts. I always have this reluctance to make phone calls, for whatever reason. But if I waited the time necessary to be comfortable about it, they'd be closed again...

I almost had the chicken, but opted for the cashew-encrusted salmon, instead. Soooo yummy. Keri had the grilled hanger steak.

We started with the fried calamari with artichoke hearts, and ended with her having the crème brûlée, and me the bananas foster.

We actually didn't choose it, per se. A month or two ago, one of our tips was a $50 gift certificate for there. So, of course, we had to go.

Now I may have to go back...

You should have been down at City Hall handing out business cards to all the gays ;)

Good point.

I'm seriously considering advertising in/at vrp.info. They're a little pricey, but if I can get 3 parties a year out of them, worth the cost.
