I was down to Oakridge for dinner with mor_riogain only 15 minutes late...
But whatever. It was fun catching up, and we kept talking in the parking lot until a little after I had to leave. I rushed up to the bar, and managed to get ready to go pretty much on time.
And then started at 9:00pm, when I had enough singers...
Definitely a slow start to the evening, though, after the triumphant Stripes showed up, it became fairly busy.
I suspect the main drink sold last night was water.
The bartenders were Stephanie and Rebecca. Rebecca's completely new (and seems quite nice). Stephanie's been bartending during Julz's shows - this was the first time she'd seen one of mine.
All-in-all, quite a fun night. If kinda sticky.
It ended at about 2:03am, with justnate, myself, princesskiti22 and supersniffles somewhat trading off on Tarzan Boy. I'm not sure any of us actually knew it - Nate just wanted to do all the yodeling...
Income can't have been too bad, since Paula complained about the heat, rather than the take.
timenchanter and I then did the Denny's thing, followed by home.
Where I took forever getting to bed, partly because it was still over 80° in here, and of course was later roasted awake. I may try to sleep a little bit more, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope.
I got a call back from a guy at Verio about my email address. After about 20 minutes of conversation, I still don't think he had the slightest idea of what was going on, but suggested I talk to the registrar about transferring ownership of the tlg.net domain. So I've sent them an email - dunno if I'll even ever get a response.
He seemed to be able to figure out that they were the registrar, but not that the domain was owned by Verio. Oy.
I've also gotten a response email from Dreamhost about the bar website. They agreed I should be able to do what I was doing, just not the way I was doing it - with not much in the way of alternative suggestions.
I'm apparently going to have to write my own caching mechanism. Joy.
And that's been about it.
Today, Timmie is taking me to La Fondue for my birthday, which should be much fun - I've never been. The fact that we're going with an excellent little group of people helps, too.
