Bruce [userpic]

I tried to sleep last night. It kept eluding me, except in little snatches here and there.

Which is why I'm partway through Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, not to mention having made it through a couple of YouTubed episodes of Astroboy.

And which is therefore why I got out of bed around 11:30am, as opposed to my planned 10:00am.

which became why I didn't make it to synkitty's daughter Tara's party until 1:00pm.

I forgive me. Not so sure about supersniffles, but I forgive me.

Hung out there, mostly with Cindi and trivialt, but also some with Jasmine, and much less than I should have with wickedladybear, who I hadn't seen in years. Possibly heading up into a decade.

Ended up talking to Kim and Cynan until about 5:00pm. That was fun.

From there, I went to kshandra and gridlore's newly - and impressively - cleaned up apartment, where I installed a wireless router for them.

What's scary is that it largely went without a hitch. Kirsten had the necessary network logon info, the documentation and in-router pages were reasonably clear (it's a 2Wire), and things mostly just worked.

Heck, Doug's new Eee PC was up and connected within about 5 minutes of him starting to fiddle with it - and he's not used to Linux!

I'm waiting for the thing to burst into flames, just out of repressed Murphy karma.

Kirsten took me out to dinner in payment, which meant she was stuck spending a couple of hours with me at Fresh Choice. She appeared to survive - even after I suddenly clicked into babble mode.

From there to the Duplex, where I've mostly been doing laundry, with a side of unconsciousness. I now have fresh sheets, and fresh shirts, underwear, and pants are on their way. I'm also hopefully going to make some unpacking progress. Cross your fingers...

Current Location: The Duplex
Mood: cheerfulcheerful

And I forgive you.
Just barely.
I smoked way too many cigarettes today because I was so bored. I should have brought knitting!!

That was particularly odd. I thought you brought knitting everywhere...

Must have been the unnaturally early wake-up call.

There was knitting in the car, but I didn't want to be accused of ignoring people or being anti-social. It's just that children's birthday parties are only fun for children.

And the occasional sadistic over-controlling adult...

The more you babble, the less time I have to think about what's going on in my life. *wry smile*

It was waaaay too short!

Howsomeever, if I am not dropping down dead from exhaustion at FC this weekend, we might try and make a side trip over to KoC on Sunday night (with someone who actually sings!) No promises, mind, but we will make an effort!

That would be awesome, but I won't hold my breath - I know what Sunday feels like at a con...

And a singer, while gladly welcomed, is far from a requirement. :-)
