A little after 7:00pm I moved the car over to the bar, and started setting up. I was doing pretty well, too, until I started gossiping with
I got going by 8:20pm or so. Into one of the busiest nights I've had in ages. Certainly the most the bar has made on a Sunday in an extreme amount of time. By the time I closed down at 2:03am, I was about 5 songs into a fourth rotation.
Between Heather's party,
Mostly a huge, appreciative crowd. Lots of cheering - in a couple of cases, deafening cheering. Caren showed up, and brought her sister Carla. I don't think Carla's been there since the Jeff days, as far as I could tell because I, unlike Jeff, wouldn't get her up more frequently as a good singer.
I forget what she sang - but she got a standing ovation.
