You scored as Zoroastrian Pagan, The Zoroastrian Pagan is a rare breed who follows the teachings of Zoroaster, the religious reformer. He believed that there were no gods, and it was naive to put faith in them and give them names. What one should focus on is merely serving one side of the cosmic duality; work on good or light deeds, and the world would become more good or light. Pagans of this variety are rare, but often feel like they get more done without the hassle and clutter of pantheons and gods. They're smart, analytical, and occationally cynical. </td>

It is wrong, if you don't know. But pretty damn accurate within its limitations.

Oh, is that where Jacqueline Carey cribbed that bit from?!

The warring factions of Darsanga in Kushiel's Avatar are devoted to Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu. I'd never thought to look them up before.

Aha!

A series I haven't read.

Yes, that's from good old Zoroaster. The badly maligned Yezidees are descendants of that particular faith.

Re: I'm hijacking Bruce's thread...

Ooooh! A power blush!

Re: I'm hijacking Bruce's thread...

Great. They're ganging up on me.

Re: I'm hijacking Bruce's thread...

Yes, and I know how much you abhor the attention.

Poor thing.

Re: I'm hijacking Bruce's thread...

Well, if I thought one of you was actually going to follow through in the next geological epoch....

*is laughing too hard to blow a raspberry*

Re: I'm hijacking Bruce's thread...

Ain't that just like men? All tease and no substance!

Hey!

I put out.
Occasionally...
When I remember...
And I'm not too tired or overworked...

Re: Hey!

Beige... I think I'll paint the ceiling beige...

Re: Hey!

When I remember...

...it's possible to forget?

Re: Hey!

I was kind of wondering.

Re: Hey!

When I'm in work-mode, if you're not part of the problem or part of the solution, you're just part of the scenery. So, yeah. Sex is one of those things that can get lost in the shuffle.

Semantics...

...I'd call that "not thinking of it at the time" (which totally makes sense) rather than forgetting about it altogether. Now, if it didn't occur to you once you were out of work-mode, then there would be an issue.

Someone needs to explain to that guy the difference between "apart" and "a part." Also, when writing about eastern religion it's generally considered bad form to misspell "Bhagavad Gita." Bhagadvagita indeed.

It was an interesting quiz though. Good questions.

Oh dear. I'm used to a lot of people putting it as one word - but I skimmed over the misspelling.

Sounds like a condition.

And now I have the Vagina Dentata song running through my head...

You scored as Eastern Pagan,Eastern Pagans come in two breeds; The Buddhist-Pagan, who follows the Buddhist belief of the "middle way" and the Hindu-pagan, who leans to the Hindu Pantheon of gods. Thoughtful, calm, insightful individuals are often drawn to Eastern mythology and thought. Enlightenment is more than a theory; it's a state of mind to aspire to, and there are certain key elements that you've found in the Eastern paths that offer to help you on the journey. Those who seek these paths are often the teachers, the peacemakters and the intellectualists of our world.

a-ha.

I actually scored 5% short of Zorastrian Pagan, like yourself.

And my second-highest score was Eastern pagan.

Which all ignores the fact that I took the quiz as an atheist. I simply recognize certain concepts of duality, and think that taking the middle road is a wise idea, independent of one's creation story or choice of imaginary friend.

Hmm.
