A fairly large contingent was either still there, or had recently returned. After the usual milling around, over half of us eventually headed to Oakridge, where we saw the 5:15pm showing of 300.
Cute movie, though hopefully princesskiti22 didn't mind me periodically snickering in the seat next to her. It's unfortunate what a study of history can do to one's perspective, sometimes...
That and the fact that while every spear thrust was accompanied by quantities of blood spatter, chopped-off heads were completely dry. Apparently very little blood ever went to the head in these people.
The downside was after leaving the movie, running home to pick up stuff, and rushing up the bar, I still wasn't there until 8:20pm or so - and didn't really get the show started until 9:00pm.
synkitty was somewhat frantic.
Still, it turned into a very good - and almost crowded - night. I got partway through the fifth round before quitting around (ahem) 2:05am. Hey, it meant I was able to fit in Keri's last song...
blankreloaded came in with a new donation to the collection. I didn't even know "A Lapdance Is Always Better When The Stripper Is Crying" was even available. I of course had to sing it ASAP. Heh heh. Single most wrong song ever written.
Afterwards, I dropped Synthia off, then headed to Mini Gourmet for my daily ration of grease, in which I was not disappointed. I had been planning to post then, but for some reason Cingular's connection to the 'net appeared to be down, and I wasn't really in the mood when I got home.
I was in the mood to play with LaserDiscs. Joy. I did that - and entered the new disc - until around 7:00 or 8:00am, at which time I was tired enough to sleep through the whole day, and thus avoid all the things I really needed to do. The procrastination takes more effort on weekdays...
I was so successful that I didn't get to the bar until a little before 8:00pm. I'd feel more guilty, but the only people in the bar were myself, Eddie, and dwo. Still, I started before 8:30pm. Right now, I'm in the middle of the fifth round, and have a full seven singers.
I've been torturing Eddie all night. Life is good.
