Sunday's show was the first time I've had a show go from that busy to that dead in a matter of half an hour. Before midnight, I had around 28 people in the rotation. By 12:30am, I had four.
Two of those four were Eddie and
I'd wonder if I had seriously bad body odor, but most everybody came up and gave me a nice hug goodbye. I just think everyone felt tired.
After the show, I decompressed a bit at Carrows, then went home and got a bit of sleep.
But not a huge amount. I had to be up by 1:00pm, because more of Mario's furniture was being moved out of the garage. Then some dithering around, followed by dragging
Then, after a quick visit to Nerdvana (Milpitas branch) for diskettes, we headed off to Tomatina for some dinner. I hadn't actually eaten there before - it wasn't bad. Nothing incredibly exciting, but definitely not bad.
The show was pleasant. Not busy, but we had a nice group. Monday also stretched into 9 rounds, but in a more reasonable way.
After the show, I stumbled home and... started work on the PC. It's amazing how long every stage of this stuff can take. But as of a couple of hours ago, I finally have a successful XP install. Now I just need to add in all the extras.
In the middle of all that - and in fact, in the middle of formatting a 320 gig drive - I took off to my parents' place, and helped my mom do a dump run. While they have a small truck, it has no power steering, and, well, she's 81, and the healthy, strong one. So I wrestled the thing down to Ben Lomond and back.
And that, apart from a short nap in the middle of this post, has been the last two days. Well, ignoring a frantic last-minute extra trip to SVC for a couple of quiet case fans this evening (the ones that came with the case are loud). I have a couple of things coming up -
It would be good if I fit some real sleep in there somewhere, too...
