It turned out to be a good thing. Wayne had installed the spare CD deck, but in the process had inadvertently disconnected two of the amps. So I ended up squatting in dustbunnies while reconnecting various daisy-chained RCA cables.
After that, I set up shop next to Lily, who was playing on her laptop by the front door. We became the bar cybercafé section. I didn't ask, but I assume Lily was filling in for Paula - I didn't see Paula even at shutdown.
11:00pm turned out to be a good time for Timmie to show up. It suddenly went from so-so to slammed in there (the dance floor mirrors fogged up).
Since I was at the bar, I worked a bit on announcements and the photo gallery. I've got some idea what I want to do with that, but we'll have to see if I can make it work.
After Wayne cleared out at around 2:10am, I did some video-related futzing around, mostly moving power cords to clear out some plugs for the two more items I want to add (TV and signal booster). In fact, since I was back there, I plugged those in - I just haven't hooked them into the signal path yet.
Then home, and some of that sleep stuff.
I woke up this morning to a text from
After a pleasant time there, we broke up - I wanted to check something at Barnes & Noble, so I tagged along with
Some (fruitless) shopping and a couple of great conversations later, I headed home.
Since then, I've been working on the print view for the bar website. One of those details I haven't properly attended to. Meanwhile, Timmie's cooking some dinner, and I'll be heading off to the bar soon (I miss it so...) for another night of Karaoke. Now hopefully with clean video!
