Though I have to say that the addition of personalized cards to Apples to Apples was just wrong. But in a good way. I've never been a card before.
And here's hoping that cekyr0's second day at work is as much fun or more as his first!
Meanwhile, back at the blue funk that is my room... Though that may just be the fact that I need to change my sheets...
I got the latest eBay invoice yesterday. It looks like, for the first time, I may have broken even. This is an improvement, though not precisely what I'd call a huge cause for celebration.
Meanwhile, I'm still procrastinating changes that I'm pretty sure would improve things. Changes I've been putting off for over two months. I think I've finally let myself realize the problem.
I mean, I'm reasonably lazy, yes, but this goes a little bit deeper: The problem seems to stem from the fact that the initial changes cost more money. Which feels very much right now like I'm throwing good money after bad. The thing is, we're talking an extra $35/month, with a potential savings of about $50/month, plus a likelihood of increased sales, or in other words actual profit.
I don't remember the name for the effect, but I remember reading about a study of poker players, that indicated that the average person, after a losing streak, was more likely to fold even if holding a strong hand. And that's what I think I'm dealing with right now.
Unfortunately, knowing is only half the battle...
