On my way out, I gave
Then a ride back to the house.
Then I took them and Mena's wallet back to the Greyhound station.
It turns out there was a pile of stuff on her bed she also forgot to bring. My heart doth bleed so.
Otherwise, I had a pleasant, low-key visit at Stuart&Frida's. Stuart didn't make it back from his Florida trip until about midnight, so Frida put together a dinner party with Mary. The discussion ended up centered on personal ads (I wonder why...), and I ended up showing Mary a picture of every girl I find attractive. That took a while.
I swear Frida is trying to push us together, which has some level of logic to it - we're both single, close to the same age, and she's not exactly ugly.
But she's a Bush supporter. She hides it most of the time, and I do go for psychotic women. But there are limits, ya know?
Supposedly someone wanted to see the house at 6:00 yesterday, so I asked
There was also a woman who wanted to see the place today. Mena was back home and showed her around. Apparently this one bitched continuously about the price through the whole thing. To someone who really doesn't care.
And while I'm on real estate,
There's been a host of other minor things - I'm still following up on the case of the missing lamp. In the meantime, I've sold three more. From the same warehouse, which is scary. I've also had one that arrived at destination before they got around to telling me it shipped. I've also tried calling one of the original suppliers of a set of lamps, to see if I can get better data and descriptions. As I've said before: I, personally, would never buy something off the web if the description is "lamp", and the associated picture is 30 pixels high. Anyway, they're supposed to get back to me Monday.
And that's about it - I'm about to leave here, and head to the bar to set up. I'll be heading back up to Alameda Saturday for their party - and again, everybody is welcome.
