But it was not to be. Paula wanted to talk about money, and that was something that needed to happen. She took some of the show and payment data (going back to January 2004), and promised to start trying to catch up with biweekly payments.
We'll see what happens.
In any case, I only started about 15 minutes late, and only had about 6 singers at that point, the third of which was trivialt.
The rotation continued to grow, however. There were about 36 singers in the first round.
To say the least, last night was pretty packed. I closed at about 1:58, not quite through the end of the 3rd round. I just barely missed getting lucydogstringer his second song, and Vince his first. Vince was a little bit of a surprise - he's the half-brother of She Who Shall Not Be Named.
We're continuing to get more new faces in the bar. I assume the news articles are bringing them in.
Afterwards, supersniffles, timenchanter, misdev and I did a Denny's run, which Timmie rather sneakily paid for.
Then home, some webcomic viewing, and a little bit of sleep. Just a little bit - I woke up at about 10:30 to a broiling room and a buzzing phone. Nice weather my ass.
The phone was the start of an arrangement to meet Timmie and cekyr0 for lunch, where much fun was had.
From there I went home, grabbed the necessary paperwork, and headed here to Spee-Dee, where I'm getting the car tuned and smogged for my registration.
Fun. I think I'll see if I can nap in the waiting room now.
