Books and Tea

After finishing off entering the disc data Friday night, I was feeling a tad peckish, so I headed over to TGIFriday's, which has the grace to be open until 2:00am on Fridays and Saturdays.

After the usual way too much food, and a few little tasks completed (my business card template is now more up to date), I popped back home, and decided it would be a good idea to print update sheets. Then it occurred to me that I hadn't printed books in 2 months, so I started that process.

I went to bed at about 6:00am, after finishing off the second one.

I did my usual wake up for a couple of hours (which included some more book assembly), then fall back asleep bit, and finally got myself up at 2:00pm. I needed to find the pieces to put together a costume of sorts for Leila's tea party.

Which I did, barely. I hadn't realized pieces would need to be washed. But whatever. I made it to Lisa's Tea Treasures in plenty of time, especially since celticnoor and the girl of the hour were delayed in traffic.

Predictably, though many people opted for more formal wear, the only two people in actual costume were myself and markobellydance. No matter.

Once everyone arrived, it was a fun, if, I gather, pricey time. The teas were good, and so were the various accompanying treats. I hadn't had a cucumber sandwich in ages.

I'm lazy. I'm not going to list people. But most of the cool kids were there.

Then a very nice afterparty at Kristi and Marko's place, where almost everyone but I played poker. I just hung around, talked a bit, balloon fought with Leila, and provided a pillow shoulder for timenchanter (when everyone but myself and Kristi fell asleep or, um, went to bed).

I believe I got home around midnight, finished off the fourth and last book for this printing run, and now I believe I'll try some more sleep. Actually, I've already tried quite a bit while typing this up...
