Triskell Knot

Thursday during the day was spent, uh, well, ummm...

Doing not much at all. Some email back and forth about possible Craigslist sales, but I'm supposed to meet everyone involved tomorrow afternoon.

The extent of setup for Saturday was moving the equipment salvaged Tuesday out of the car.

I ended up loading the car up early, and making it to the bar at 6:45pm. Surprisingly, Paula was there and let me in - so I was able to set up quite early. I had the system up and running at 7:15pm, then ran off to pick up supersniffles and segajenison.

And proceeded to have a quite odd Thursday. Definitely an underpopulated one. It was a decidedly nice crowd for a Sunday, but pretty anemic for a Thursday.

I ran for 7 rounds before closing at 2:00am.

Eh, it happens. I had a good time, and it seemed that those of us there also had a good time. Cindi got herself quite drunk for her birthday, kshandra came out and sang (beautifully, as usual), and Jenison finally got the courage to sing at the tail end of the night.

Then got bummed that she didn't sound like a diva the first time out.

We also had (in conjunction with Kirsten) one of the rare appearances of firestrike, as well as misdev, synkitty, and lucydogstringer. Sadly, Steven didn't get to see Matt.

I closed up, poured a near-comatose Cindi and a hyper Jenison into the car, took them home, then made my way here. And now I'm going home and sleeping.

Another day at the HoD. I'm waiting for a guy to come back with a truck to pick up the washer, which I just disconnected and manhandled to the top of the upstairs landing.

I sold my teak chest earlier.

However, I'm down to only one bookcase, because the cleanup crew dismantled the other one.

The crew has been active on the place. In fact, every day I've been here, there's been evidence of their activity. It's just that we for some reason have never met each other.

Apparently they're morning people.

I suspect that anything I don't have sold by the end of Sunday might as well be abandoned. Which would honestly be a relief.

The agent might have said it was OK, but I'm technically trespassing, and it makes me nervous.

And it would be nice to finally have completely and utterly done with the place. Continuing to live tethered to it is not a lot of fun.

Though I've gotta say, as the cleanup crew rake the rooms and strip the gunk off the fixtures, it's emerging how nice of a building it really is.

I hope the next owners are better caretakers.
