Sin

Because, After All, I'm Evil

A mathematician visited a native american reservation.

He spoke with an old native american woman who was sitting on a buffalo pelt. She said, "My son runs so fast, he can reach that mountain all the way over there by sundown."

Then he spoke with a woman sitting on a coyote pelt. She said, "My son is so strong, he can wrestle a buffalo to the ground."

Then he spoke with a woman sitting on a hippopotamus skin. She said, "I have no sons. But I can run to the mountain before sundown, and I can wrestle a buffalo to the ground."

Then the mathematician realized that the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides.

Chowder and More

After a few (remarkably productive) hours at work, I met up with misswong77, intrusting, entropyca, and timenchanter for the usual Friday clam chowder festivities.

Then all of us but Bjorn headed over to Lucinda's place. We hung out, watched some TV (Mostly Apollo 13), and talked until around 2:00, when Lucinda finally collapsed.

Then home. I didn't sleep much last night. Just a bad combination of either heartburn from the cough syrup, or bad cough when the heartburn receded. Such is life, sometimes.

Despite all that, I managed to get almost nothing done. I finally managed to at least write a few bills, but too late to take advantage of the lower postal rates. I'm just going to have to pay that extra 6 cents.

Then back to Lucinda's with Timmie, where she'd put together quite a nice spread, which we shared with Roger and k_magic.

The rest of the evening has been spent exposing everyone to "The Triplets of Belleville" and "Dr. Strangelove", which we're watching right now.
