Crazy, Man

The show last night was simply amazing. Last week was busy, but this, well...

As I was setting up, I got about 9 singers signed up - actually, laid out in order, since I didn't have my chart out yet. I wrote in and pulled the discs for the first 5 or so, and started playing at 8:30 sharp.

As the show went, I kept getting slips. I didn't get caught up until 9:00 (It normally takes about 10 minutes). By that time, I had 24 singers.

I ended up doing 4 rotations by the end of the night, but only because there were only 5 or so singers left at 1:30, so I decided to go back through one more time.

And so, even though trivialt didn't show up, it was still quite a party.

Of the relatively rare groups, spondee, wissavix, and misswong77 showed up.

Also Sunny and Roy, who sang and danced to a vocal reduced version of "Spank My Booty". She seemed a little surprised that I knew the album...

I kind of crawled out of there at the end of the night - my back hurt, my feet hurt, and I just wanted to sleep. But wow.

Today has been spent in my usual non-productive state. I've actually managed one thing - I've updated my phone's firmware. This was supposed to be a 20 minute operation. It of course took all afternoon, and one of my main apps now tends to blow up. But hey, progress always comes at a price, yes?
