The Christmas Show

I didn't make it out of the house until 5:00. I had wanted to buy a couple of things - nothing fancy - but I gotta say, shopping after 5:00 on a Christmas Sunday is one of the more futile things I've attempted.

Only slightly less futile than finding an open restaurant. I ended up at a Denny's. The place was relatively full, and being served by one overworked and mildly cranky waitress.

My food was edible. I tipped her well.

Then to the bar. dancin_whitey and I weren't too sure how many people would show up. We needn't have worried. While we only had about 5 people in the bar when I started at 8:00, that very quickly ballooned.

'Twas a very busy night. From what Matt told me, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most profitable Sunday in the last 6 months.

I'm not going to start another list, except to say that trivialt was, indeed, there. As was misswong77, somewhat against her better judgement.

A lot of singing, quite a bit of cheering, and many friendly people. If you weren't there, you missed quite a party.

I ran until 1:55, again trying to cram in more songs than would fit. Strangely, they only compress so much.

Then h2ocrazyguy took several of us out to supper. Then I went home and crashed.

Today I've been getting some work done, but I'm also required at Lucinda's little downtown excursion. So I'm going to close up shop, get dressed, probably do my little shopping bit, and meet up with the group there.
