Interesting

The number of reviews on my Yelp page is down to 5. It was at 4 for quite a while, but they liked me at last weekend's party - and brought me temporarily up to 6.

I haven't actually kept track of how many positive reviews I've received since the page started. Must be around 15 by now.

It's just that Yelp keeps removing them, I suppose as part of its famed "automated process to remove fake reviews." It apparently just doesn't like the fact that I've got that many 5-star reviews.

A very cynical part of me thinks that the number of positive reviews allowed might go up if I advertised with them. Which I might do, if their lowest advertising tier weren't completely out of my budget.

I do believe the cynical part of you is (may be) correct.
